He’s completely crazy and completely sane, funny but tormented. He’s a whole lot a rock n roll wrapped in a whole lot a country. He’s been beaten down but he’s still determined and he’s definitely still swinging! On May 14 2010 Jerry Castle, a native of the Appalachian Mountains of Virginia and a 10 year Nashville resident, will celebrate the release of his second solo record at The Rutledge in Nashville, TN. The show starts at 9 P.M.
The songs on his forthcoming CD “Don’t Even Ask” are layered with the same texture, grit and honest emotion as his life. The juxtaposition of the many sides that divide him converge into powerful deliveries that are both strong yet deeply vulnerable. It’s clear when you meet him that there is a lot locked in that dark brooding head, but with his sunny disposition you can’t help but smile and chuckle along as he weaves maddening tales of heartbreak, struggle and joy.
